Liverpool FC star Diogo Jota's wife and long-term partner, Rute Cardoso, shared a heartfelt Instagram post about their wedding just two days ago. The pair, who share three children together, tied the knot on June 22, and they shared gorgeous pictures of the joyous occasion on social media.
On Tuesday, July 1, 28-year-old mum-of-three Rute uploaded four stunning pictures of herself in her beautiful wedding dress. In a heartbreaking four-word message to her 107,000 followers in the caption, she said: "My dream came true". In the comment section, Diogo replied: "But I'm the lucky one".
Rute can be seen looking stunning in her white gown, adorned with floral embellishments and matching silver jewellery. She wore a pretty silver tiara in her perfectly curled hair and makeup that brought out her natural beauty.
Just yesterday (July 2), the newlyweds uploaded a video montage of their ceremony. In a post first shared on Diogo's Instagram account, which was then reshared by his wife, the football star said: "A day we will never forget."

A statement from local police said Guardia Civil was investigating a road accident this morning at 12.30am on the A52 in the municipality of Cernadilla, Zamora. It added: "In the absence of a conclusion of the experts’ evidence, everything points that a car left the road, due to a tyre blowout while overtaking.
"Both vehicle occupants were killed by the accident." It continued: "After identification, the victims are Diogo Jota, Liverpool player, and his brother Andre Felipe."

Andre Silva, the brother of Diogo Jota, who sadly lost his life in a car accident along with the Liverpool player, was building his own football career before their untimely deaths. The tragic event took place in the Zamora province of Spain, resulting in the loss of 28-year-old Jota and 26-year-old Andre, leaving the football community in sorrow.
Although Diogo's accomplishments, such as his crucial contribution to Liverpool's latest Premier League victory, are widely recognised, Andre's successes are also significant. In 2023, he joined the Portuguese second division team FC Penafiel as an attacking midfielder after his time with Gondomar.
Over the course of his career, he also played for Boavista and the under-23 team of FC Famalicao. At the highest level, Andre made 102 appearances and netted 17 goals, primarily playing in an attacking role. His contributions this season were vital as he scored two goals and assisted five times in 32 matches, aiding his team in achieving an 11th-place finish.
