On Tuesday, July 2, a jury in Manhattan, New York, delivered a split verdict after three days of deliberation.

According to The New York Times, Diddy was acquitted of the most serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking involving his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

There was also another woman tied to the case known as 'Jane' to conceal her real identity.

However, that does not mean that he will be walking out free, as he was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, related to both women.

According to CNN, the rapper could receive a sentence totalling 20 years if served consecutively, this is because each of the aforementioned counts carries a maximum of 10 years in prison.

The Guardian reports that the rap mogul led his family in prayer before the verdict was read.

He turned to look at his kids who were seated behind him, held his hands in a prayer position and all of them seemed deep in prayer.

And after the verdict was read, he immediately went on his knees, appearing to be in tears as he celebrated the victory.

As of now, sentencing is yet to be scheduled, and Diddy will remain in custody pending a decision to be made on his bail.

The rapper's daughters seemed to be the most excited, appearing to giggle and talk as they headed to their car.

However, the gesture did not excite many netizens, especially women, who felt they should not be happy amid the charges being discussed in court.

Kimani said she wrote two song that Diddy heard and was impressed, adding she does not thing she was his type.

The singer said Diddy wanted to give one of her songs to his former girlfriend, Cassie, but she failed to show up to the recording session as she was so broke, and the deal never happened.
