was officially found guilty of only two of the five counts against him following a nearly two-month trial.

Despite the mixed verdict, ’s attorney expressed relief that the music mogul, 55, has “finally been held accountable,” while speaking with reporters outside of the courthouse on Wednesday, July 2.

“Of course, we would have liked to have seen a conviction on the sex crimes and RICO, but we understand that ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ is a high standard,” lawyer said, per NBC News. “We’re just pleased he still faces substantial jail time.”

He also took a moment to praise 38-year-old Ventura’s “unquestionable strength” in an official statement on the verdict.

“This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023,” Wigdor said in a statement published by Newsweek. “Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.”

Wigdor said that by choosing to come forward, she’s “left an indelible mark” on the entertainment industry and the “fight for justice” as she “brought attention to the realities of power men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades.”

“We must repeat – with no reservation – that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial,” he added. “This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”

As Star previously reported, Combs was arrested in September 2024 and later charged with one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

He pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Throughout his trial, more than 30 witnesses, including Ventura, were called to the stand. During her testimony, Ventura accused the music producer of various acts of physical abuse and allegedly forced sexual acts.

On July 2, a jury of 12 only found Combs guilty of the two prostitution-related charges –  one was related to Ventura, and one was related to another woman identified only as “Jane.” Each count comes with a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

At this time, it is unclear if Combs will be released on bail ahead of his sentencing, or if he will remain in jail until his next court date.
