ScreenRant’s continues with a new episode featuring star and John Wick: Chapter 4 cast member Scott Adkins. In each episode, an AI chatbot is asked questions about the life and career of a guest–an actor, director, or other creative. What ensues is always a fair bit of insight about the life of the guest, paired, of course, with a healthy amount of misinformation.
Scott Adkins is someone full of fun facts for AI to attempt to unearth. The Diablo star is a longtime martial artist who is known for his work as Yuri Boyka in the Undisputed series which has seen him make multiple appearances and become the face of a franchise. The actor also featured heavily in John Wick: Chapter 4, as the character Killa, although you wouldn’t know it from looking at him
In his episode of Debunking AI, Scott Adkins reveals his favorite John Wick fight scene, what it was like for him to perform in John Wick: Chapter 4, and what he hopes to return to out of his past projects. Plus, the actor cleared up some misconceptions AI had about his personal life. Check out the full video, above, or read on for some select highlights.
The beginning of Scott Adkins’ Debunking AI episode had the chatbot defining the most well-known movies of the actor’s career. It correctly stated that he was known for his martial arts skills across the Undisputed movies as well as John Wick: Chapter 4. “Everyone’s seen John Wick: [Chapter] 4 and I was in that, but I was in a fat suit, so maybe you didn’t know it was me,” said Adkins (his character, Killa, is a very physically imposing antagonist in the film.)
The AI bot also described the character of Yuri Boyka quite well in Adkins’ eyes, saying “Yuri Boyka is a Russian mixed martial arts fighter and prison inmate known for his extreme discipline, brutal fighting style, and belief that he’s the most complete fighter in the world.” “Well done, Chat GPT,” Adkins said, “You are absolutely right.” Still, Adkins disagreed with the chatbot’s assumption that the Undisputed franchise was over, saying, “I still harbor the dream to do another Boyka movie.”
AI even correctly identified Adkins’ martial arts icons–Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme-but incorrectly stated the specifics of what made the actor get heavily into martial arts. “At age 10, Scott Adkins was mugged, which was considered to be a turning point,” said the chatbot. “Pretty good,” the actor replied, “but I was not mugged at age 10. I was 13.”
Adkins and the chatbot agreed about one particular John Wick fight scene, although Adkins was not a part of it. “I completely agree with you, AI,” said Adkins when it brought up the knife fight in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum as the franchise’s best. “It’s got everything going for it,” Adkins continued, saying, “it’s got the weapons, the knife fighting, the enclosed space, the fact that they’re smashing the glass, and the comedy that comes from there … and Keanu has never looked better in any of the fights he’s ever done–The Matrix included–than he did in that section.”

In the words of the chatbot, “Diablo (2025) is an upcoming action thriller starring Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror, reuniting the two martial arts icons after their appearance in John Wick: Chapter 4.” “Yeah, that is true,” Adkins said, although he did say a gracious “Cheers” to being called an icon. AI continued, defining Adkins’ character as “Kris Chaney, a recently released ex-con who embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill a promise made to a dying woman.” Adkins made one correction–“The woman is, in fact, already dead, so that’s wrong.”
“He’s definitely tough. He’s definitely resourceful. [He’s] driven by a strong sense of loyalty and honor, and also vengeance, I would say,” Adkins said about his character in Diablo, adding, “But essentially he’s trying to fix the wrongs that were done to him and, in the process, rekindling his relationship with a family member.
“It’s complicated. You need to watch the movie. I promise you’re going to enjoy it.”
