Dangote refinery commences nationwide fuel distribution August 15

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced it will be deploying 4 CNG-powered tankers to boost the distribution of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, and diesel nationwide from August 15.

In a statement released on Sunday, this initiative, which begins at no extra cost to buyers, is part of the company’s ongoing plans to enhance nationwide delivery. The refinery described the move as a bold step toward stabilising fuel supply, aligning with the Federal Government’s Naira-for-Crude policy and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to the statement, this landmark rollout covers petrol stations, fuel marketers, manufacturers, telecom companies, aviation operators, and other large-scale consumers across Nigeria, adding that the refinery will offer a credit facility to bulk buyers. Customers purchasing a minimum of 500, backed by a bank guarantee.

Besides, this nationwide programme is expected to cut logistics costs, lower fuel prices, revitalise dormant petrol stations, create jobs, and improve energy access in rural and underserved communities., 000 litres can access an additional 500,000 litres on credit for two weeks

“Dangote Petroleum Refinery is pleased to announce the commencement of a significant national initiative designed to transform Nigeria’s fuel distribution landscape.

Effective 15th of August 2025, the refinery will begin the distribution of Premium Motor Spirit and diesel to marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecoms firms, aviation, and other large users across the country, with free logistics to boost the distribution network,” the statement reads.
