Both Jones and fellow leading scorer Keshon Gilbert sat out Saturday’s game – a 68-59 loss to the Cougars – for their own respective reasons.
Jones sat out with an illness and Iowa State has not confirmed yet if he will be playing on Tuesday when the team takes on Oklahoma State (7 p.m. ESPN+), but him making the trip is indeed a great sign.
The senior and former Buffalo transfer leads the team with 17.1 points per game.
Gilbert sat out on Saturday with a muscle strain, and his status for Tuesday is considered more up in the air.
