Crews working to put out Lancaster County fire that engulfed large wood pile

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A large wood pile at a Lancaster County business was ablaze Tuesday evening, prompting a response from numerous emergency crews.

Crews from the surrounding areas were able to extinguish the wood pile fire at Musser Supply Inc., located in the 1600 block of Lancaster Avenue in West Hempfield Township.

Columbia Borough Fire Department put an alert on Facebook about the fire, and a photo posted by the fire department shows a large wood pile on fire.

Drivers were asked to be cautious in the area or to avoid it if they could as crews worked to put out the fire. No word on any injuries or how the fire started.
