Cousins Maine Lobster, a national food truck and fast-casual dining concept, has surpassed $1 billion in systemwide sales since its founding in 2012. The company, which gained national recognition after an appearance on the TV show "Shark Tank," is known for its authentic Maine lobster rolls.

Co-Founders and cousins Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis recently celebrated the milestone.

"This is an incredible moment, growing from a single food truck in Los Angeles to more than 85 units across the nation," Lomac and Tselikis said in a joint statement. "We've brought the taste and spirit of Maine to diners nationwide — and built a franchise family along the way."

Cousins Maine Lobster has expanded from its single Los Angeles food truck to over 85 locations across 30 states and projects opening 30 units in 2026.

According to the company's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, average truck sales in 2024 were approximately $1.3 million per unit.

The $1 billion sales mark follows recent market openings in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Albany, New York; Northwest Pennsylvania; Morgantown, West Virginia; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Upcoming summer openings are slated for Kalamazoo, Michigan; San Antonio, Texas; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Ventura and Santa Barbara, California; and Savannah, Georgia, among other locations.
