Court throws out case against NPP's Collins Amoah over lack of locus standi

In a significant legal victory, the Accra Circuit Court 3, presided over by Her Honour Susana Eduful, today 19th of February, 2025 has struck out the tax fraud case against Collins Amoah, citing lack of locus standi and evidentiary basis.

This ruling not only exonerates Amoah but also exposes a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation for political gain.

Collins Amoah indicated that the allegations were acts of political sabotage.

In the realm of politics, where perception often overshadows truth, false accusations can inflict irreparable damage.

However, the principles of audi alteram partem (let the other side be heard) and nemo tenetur se ipsum accusare (no one is bound to incriminate himself) have prevailed in Amoah’s favour, reaffirming the sacrosanct legal doctrine that an accused person remains innocent until proven guilty.

Collins Amoah’s vindication is a victory not just for him, but for the rule of law.

Indeed, the truth, no matter how delayed, will always prevail over deception.

Hopefully, this should put steel in the spine of Collins Amoah to continue to serve, impact more lives and accelerate his efforts to earn the blessings of the people of Ablekuma Central.

Collins Amoah was accused of working with another person to defraud a businessman of GH¢800,000.
