Costco Just Dropped A Massive New Dessert & Fans Have Questions

Published 1 month ago3 minute read

We love a Costco bakery drop. And the latest one comes just in time for summer and all of the fresh produce the season brings. New to the bakery case is the Kirkland Signature Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake.

According to Costco's website, the bakery item has a cheesecake filling, strawberry topping, sweet graham crust, and crisp streusel topping. It's priced at $26.90 on the site, which seems a bit steep, but given its size, might actually be a steal.

The strawberry-filled cheesecake was recently posted to Instagram by @mint_pdxfoodie with a label revealing a 4.5-pound cheesecake. We'd have to say the massive dessert would be perfect for entertaining.

"Omg yummmm," one user commented on the post. But another commenter needs more info: "I'm gonna need an update!!!! Because I wonder if this is actually good? Too big to try not like and waste," they wrote.

A Reddit thread about the new cheesecake has also garnered comments and concerns.

"Dear lord that looks delicious. Who’s cutting this into 16 slices though? I’m thinking 8 or at most 12 😭😭," one user casked, referring to the nutrition label, which gives the cheesecake 16 servings.

"The mixed berry streusel cheesecake from late last year was pretty good. With strawberries should be a banger," wrote another.

Fans of another new bakery item from earlier this year, the Tiramisu Cold Brew Coffee Cheesecake, were also excited about the strawberry cheesecake.

"I love cheesecakes. The tiramisu is great. Going tomorrow to look for the strawberry Streusel one Thx 😋."

Have you seen the new Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake at Costco? Will you be adding it to your shopping cart on your next trip?
