Chris Stapleton Serenades Wife Morgane Stapleton

Chris Stapleton serenaded his wife, Morgane Stapleton, at the 60th ACM Awards, which took place on Thursday evening, May 8th. Stapleton performed “It Takes A Woman,” a song from his 2023 album, Higher. The album also features tracks like “White Horse” and “Think I’m in Love With You.” Chris and Morgane Stapleton co-produced the album with Dave Cobb.

Stapleton also paid tribute to Keith Urban with a cover of “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” as part of Urban's Triple Crown Award celebration. Urban received this honor after winning Top New Male Vocalist, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year throughout his career. Megan Moroney and Brothers Osborne also participated in the tribute.

The ACM Awards began with a performance titled “Songs of the Decades,” featuring Reba McEntire, Clint Black, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, and Little Big Town, honoring 60 years of ACM Songs of the Year. The event included performances by Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Alan Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Eric Church, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Shaboozey, and Zach Top.

Presenters included Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, Blake Shelton, Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Carly Pearce, Crystal Gayle, ERNEST, Gabby Barrett, Gretchen Wilson, Jordan Davis, Lee Ann Womack, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, Rita Wilson, Sara Evans, The Oak Ridge Boys, NASCAR driver Chase Elliott, and podcast hosts Amber Anderson and Kelly Sutton. Bobby Bones of iHeartRadio interviewed artists at the event.

Reba McEntire hosted the show for the 18th time, held at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
