Chelsea and Manchester United join race for PSG forward

Published 12 hours ago2 minute read

The Premier League duo are each chasing a centre-forward this summer and have added Kolo Muani to their list of options. Kolo Muani spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus after a difficult spell at Paris Saint-Germain.

The French forward netted eight times in Serie A and is currently with the Italian side at the FIFA Club World Cup. He extended his record for Juventus to 10 goals in 20 games with a brace in the club’s opening win against Al-Ain.

Juventus are keen to extend Kolo Muani’s loan but could now face competition from England with Chelsea and Manchester United watching the situation, according to L’Equipe.

Chelsea have a long-standing interest in the Frenchman, while Kolo Muani fits the athletic profile Manchester United are targeting.

Paris Saint-Germain would prefer a permanent exit, though the Ligue 1 champions will make a significant loss on the forward.

PSG signed Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £77m in 2023 but the 26-year-old failed to live up to expectations. Kolo Muani reportedly has an asking price of around £50m.
