Chair Throwing Brawl During Carnival Cruise Gets Passengers Banned - Travel Noire
Carnival Cruise Line has reportedly banned a group of passengers after another brawl broke out on one of its ships. According to the cruise line, Carnival has confirmed that the violent individuals have been prohibited from any of its future sailings. The June 7 incident was caught on video and shared online. The fight took place on the Carnival Sunrise ship. The vessel was taking a four-day round-trip cruise featuring the Bahamas, according to CruiseMapper.
Video of the incident showed a chaotic scene near an on-site pizza spot. A few people were holding chairs, and one person flung a chair at another passenger. Many people were standing around, and security attempted to corral the arguing parties. A bystander chimed into the ruckus and said, “Take they a–es off [of] the boat.”
Much else isn’t known about the fight. Details weren’t disclosed regarding what incited the brawl, if the arguing parties knew each other, or when those passengers disembarked.
After reading Carnival’s code of conduct, the fates of the brawling passengers aren’t a shocking outcome. The guideline outlines that bad onboard behavior is prohibited and will result in consequences. It says, “Disruptive behavior is not tolerated, and any guest whose conduct affects the comfort, enjoyment, safety, or well-being of other guests or crew will be disembarked at their own expense and banned from sailing on Carnival in the future.”
All Carnival cruise passengers must agree to the terms of the code of conduct during their check-in. The guideline further warns that any violations of its terms could “result in a fine of $500, possible stateroom confinement, and removal from the ship.” Moreover, disruptive passengers could “be liable for reimbursement of expenses incurred by Carnival as a result of the detainment or disembarkation.”
