The business generates annual sales of US$5.3 billion and has brands such as Rao’s, V8, and Swanson.

The promotion comes after Campbell’s acquisition of Sovos Brands, which brought the premium sauce label Rao’s into its portfolio, recognized as one of the fastest-growing products in recent years.

Cretella played a key role in the integration of Sovos into Campbell’s operations and in driving growth for the Rao’s brand.

According to Campbell’s Chief Operating Officer Carrie Beekhuizen, Cretella has consistently demonstrated her ability to deliver business results and manage high-performing teams, making her a strong choice to lead the meals and beverages division during a time of transformation and growth.

With nearly 25 years in the food sector, Cretella brings experience in management, marketing, and sales to her new role.

Before joining Sovos, she held senior marketing positions at Pinnacle Foods, where she worked with frozen food products, including the Birds Eye brand, which generates US$1 billion in revenue annually.

Earlier in her career, she spent over a decade at the J.M. Smucker Company, focusing on sales and marketing initiatives.

This background has provided her with expertise in driving growth and innovation across various food categories.

Cretella’s leadership will be crucial as Campbell’s navigates changes in consumer preferences and reduced spending due to inflationary pressures.

Her appointment signals Campbell’s focus on sustaining its meals and beverage division’s market position while adapting to evolving industry trends.

Campbell’s meals and beverages unit is a core segment for the company, representing a significant share of its revenue, with brands that hold a prominent presence in the food market.
