Britain's Got Talent fans give their verdict on 'downright weird' weightlifter
Britain's Got Talent viewers were left scratching their heads after Victor Tang's audition this weekend.
Flying in from Australia in the hope of impressing judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, the 59-year-old threw them a real curveball with his eclectic rendition of Nina Simone song 'Feeling Good'.
"Downright weird" was the general reaction on social media, as viewers couldn't help but tweet about the singing weightlifter.
The audition began with Tang sat down at a piano, playing the keys and singing the opening few lyrics.
"AND I'M FEELING GOOD" was the point where he then stood up, grinned at the crowd and tore open his shirt as the BGT stage crew ran around adding gym equipment to the minimalist set.
Remaining in sync with the music, the rest of his performance was basically a weightlifting session with the odd pull-up.

"Pianist, weightlifter, stripper. What am I seeing?" wrote one BGT viewer on social media site X.
"And that was just downright weird. Not talent, just weird," added another.
He’s good though.. not sure about the weight lifting bit though… bit weird tbh #BGT

Once he'd wrapped up the show, Tang was subjected to the judges' comments.
"Victor, what a surprise. That's how I imagine Bruno works out everyday," joked Holden, before suggesting she wasn't sure where his act would go from there.
Dixon later told him: "It was so bizarre. It was funny, it was different."
"Well look, you've flown halfway around the world to sing and strip and lift weights, and I like you actually, it's different," chimed in Cowell.
That's four yes's in the bag.
Britain's Got Talent airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
