The Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has approved the provisional posting of new police commissioners to some states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The new postings, contained in separate police wireless messages dated March 20, 2025, issued by the Nigeria Police Force and addressed to various formations, units, commands, and departments, stated that the postings are with immediate effect pending the official approval of the Police Service Commission.

Following these new postings, Commissioner of Police (CP) Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba has been assigned to the Zamfara State Command, while COMPOL Bretet Emmanuel Simon will take over the Taraba State Command. CP Christopher Ado Emmanuel has been posted to the Yobe State Command, and CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin will now lead the Cross River State Command.

Additionally, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman has been deployed to the Niger State Command, while CP Sani Ori Aliyu will oversee the Bauchi State Command. CP Bello Shehu has been assigned to the Katsina State Command, CP Saka Adewale Ajao will take charge of the FCT Command, and COMPOL Ojo Adekimi has been posted to head the Kwara State Command.

Several commissioners of police have been assigned to new formations. COMPOL Olanrewaju Olawale Ishola has been posted to CP Western-PAP Lagos, while COMPOL Ohagwu Felix Ndukwe will take over CP PSFU Abuja. COMPOL Hauwa Ibrahim Jibrin has been assigned to CP Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, and COMPOL Hope Okafor will serve as CP Admin at FCID Abuja. COMPOL Adebowale Lawal has been posted as CP Force Quarter Master at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Additionally, COMPOL Rosemary Okpoho Akpan has been appointed as CMDT at Detective College Enugu, while COMPOL Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo will take charge of CP CPTU STAFFPOL in Jos. COMPOL Gazali Alade Abdul-Salaam has been posted to CP Border Patrol at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, and COMPOL Olubode Ojajuni will oversee CP InterPol Annex Lagos. Meanwhile, COMPOL Ayodeji Faniyan has been assigned to CP Admin Cooperative in Lagos.
