Boring resident drives into back of semi along I-5, dies

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The pickup driver who rear-ended a semi-truck along I-5 in Washington County last Thursday later died at the hospital, Oregon State Police said.

Aleksandr Vasilevich Yevtushok was driving a Toyota Tundra on February 6 when he drove into the back end of a semi-truck and trailer near milepost 288 around 6:45 p.m. The Boring resident was seriously hurt and was rushed to an area hospital.

The 57-year-old later died, OSP said Monday. Authorities did not disclose when he died.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 55-year-old Salem man, was not hurt.

Tualatin police and ODOT also responded to the crash site, OSP said.
