Bike-car collision claims two lives | Patna News - The Times of India
Madhepura: Two people were killed when their motorcycle collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction on the Kumarkhand-Mirganj section of state highway-91 near Jorgama village under the Murliganj police station area in Madhepura district on Friday evening. A cyclist, Ramkrishna Yadav, also sustained serious injuries in the incident. The victims were identified as 21-year-old Bablu Kumar and 30-year-old Shankar Kumar.
The deceased were travelling towards Mirganj on their bike while the car was heading towards Kumarkhand when the collision occurred near Jorgama School. The impact flung the bikers a considerable distance, also injuring the cyclist.
Upon receiving information, SHO of Murliganj police station, Ajit Kumar, accompanied by police personnel, reached the spot and sent the bodies to Madhepura for post-mortem examination. "Police have seized both vehicles involved in the accident and launched an investigation into the matter," the SHO said.
