2 teenagers killed, 2 critical in Chhola crash - The Times of India
Bhopal: A tragic accident occurred late Friday night near Samundar Nursery on the Bypass Road in the Chhola area, where a speeding bike-borne minor allegedly hit a pedestrian teenager. The collision claimed the lives of both the bike rider and the pedestrian, while two others on the bike sustained severe injuries. Preliminary investigations suggest the accident happened due to overspeeding. Chhola police registered a case and started investigations.
Investigation Officer ASI Javed Khan said that the deceased were identified as Nitesh Yadav, 17, a resident of Ratan Colony in Karond, and Aryan Prajapati, 16, a resident of Maholi village in Chhola. Nitesh was a student of class 12, while Aryan was a student of class 10. Nitesh's father runs a dairy business while Aryan's father is a daily wager.
ASI Khan said that Nitesh was riding the bike with his friends Harsh and Tushar alias Sumit. The trio went to Minal Residency earlier in the evening to create social media reels. Around 11:30 PM, while returning to Karond on the same bike, they reached Samundar Nursery on the Bypass Road in Chhola. At that time, Aryan Prajapati was crossing the road. The speeding motorcycle collided with Aryan, killing him instantly. The impact of the collision was so severe that Nitesh also succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
ASI Khan said that Harsh and Sumit, who were also riding on the motorcycle, suffered critical injuries and are undergoing treatment in serious condition. Police suspect that speeding was the primary cause of the accident. The bodies of Nitesh and Aryan were handed over to their families after post-mortem examinations. The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
