Bhopal dodges Nautapa fury, temp just short of 40
Bhopal: The day temperature in the city again rose close to 40 degrees on Thursday, giving a tough time to denizens. A possibility of strong winds and showers existed for Bhopal and many other places in the state.
The meteorological dept stated the northern limit of monsoon continues to pass through Mumbai, Ahilyanagar, Adilabad, Bhawanipatna, Puri, Sandhead Island, Balurghat.The deep depression lay centred at about 60 km southeast of Sagar island, 110 km east southeast of Digha, 160 km east of Balasore. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over northern parts of central Uttar Pradesh at 1.5 km above mean sea level. A trough runs from southeast Rajasthan to the centre of deep depression over northwest Bay of Bengal off west Bengal Bangladesh coasts across north Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal at 0.9 km above mean sea level, the meteorological dept stated.The day temperature in Bhopal on Thursday was recorded at 39.5 degrees celsius, two degrees less than the normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 23.6 degrees celsius, four degrees less than the normal mark.In the forecast for Bhopal on Friday the meteorological dept stated there would be partly cloudy with chances of light rain with thundery development in evening/night hours.Day and night temperature will be respectively 39 degrees celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, while average wind speed will be 24 kilometers per hour.
In the forecast for the state the meteorological dept issued warning of thunderstorm with lightning, gusty wind (50 kmph-60 kmph) at isolated places in Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, and Pandhurna dists.A warning of thunderstorm with lightning/ gusty wind (40 kmph-50 Kmph) was issued for isolated places in Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Jabalpur and Narsinghpur dists.A possibility of rainfall or drizzle with thunderstorm, lightning at isolated places was underlined for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Chhindwara, and Pandhurna dists.
A dry weather would prevail over remaining dists in the state.
