Bhopal: Showers didn't last too long but they still managed to make pools around roads and cool off the weather even further in Bhopal.The temperature in the state rose to 46 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

In between the rising temperatures, a few places in the state witnessed thunder showers. Strong winds and drizzle was expected in Bhopal on Thursday.

There was also a warning of a heat wave over a few places in the state.Day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 39.1 degrees celsius, two degrees less than the normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 26.6 degrees celsius, a degree less than the normal mark.

The day temperature in Khajuraho was 46 degrees.In the forecast for Bhopal on Thursday the meteorological dept stated there would be partly cloudy sky with chances of thundery development, light rain in evening, night hours. Day and night temperature would be respectively 40 degrees celsius and 27 degrees while average wind speed will be 20 km per hour.In the forecast for the state the meteorological dept issued warning of thunderstorm with lightning, gusty wind (50 kmph-60 kmph) at isolated places in Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur.

A heat wave warning was issued for Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari districts. A possibility of rainfall or drizzle with thunderstorm, lightning at isolated places was underlined for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, and Jhabua.
