Gospel musician Ben Githae has asked for forgiveness from Kenyans and especially the Generation Z over his conduct.

The singer has been spotted in meetings with government heads, including President William Ruto and his Deputy Kithure Kindiki, in the last few weeks.
The musician seems to have angered his loyal Kikuyu music fans, who allegedly reacted by cancelling him from several events.
Githae was also 'greeted' through DMs and texts, a slang term for sending abusive and threatening messages to those who don't act right.
Following all this, the musician decided enough was enough and that it was time to get back into Gen Z's good books.
Speaking during an interview at a vernacular radio station, the musician appealed by lifting his hands and saying that the 'greetings' from the last three weeks were enough.
He said that there was a time when he used to lead, but now Gen Z notices when they go astray and asked that they show him the way.
He apologised for any name-calling, saying it was all his fault, and prayed that God showers blessings upon their souls.
"Gen Z, I put my hands up, I don't want greetings like I have received in the last three weeks. Because you know the way, there was a time we led but now you have seen us go astray and demanded that we follow the right way. Show us the way and whatever that we have done that has not pleased you, we ask for forgiveness," he said.
Kenyans reacted to his message with mixed reactions, with others demanding that he create music disagreeing with the leadership, which is something he is famous for.
Here are some of the reactions:

This also comes a week after the musician composed a celebratory song for Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
During a visit to his Karen home alongside Mt. Kenya artistes, Ben Githae became enthusiastic and decided to sing a song celebrating the DP.
He urged the other artistes to jump as they sang; "Kindiki is ours, we won't leave him by the roadsode."
Kindiki was impressed by the tune and stood up to dance while clapping his hands, which saw everyone else at the meeting follow suite.
