Behind the Glitter: Celebrity Performances Underscore Serious Business as 17,000 Jewelry Buyers Descend on Las Vegas
Held June 6-9 at The Venetian and The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, JCK, a jewelry industry’s trade show and conference produced by RX, along with its high-end sister show Luxury (held June 4-9), served to reenergize the industry with strong attendance, robust buying activity, and an overall sense of industry optimism.
The annual event drew in 30,000 global industry professionals, including more than 17,000 buyers, decision-makers, store owners, and media, and more than 1,900 exhibitors.
This year’s theme: “Decades,” which celebrated the fact that jewelry and adornment have been around since the beginning of time as well as showcased where jewelry trends and innovation are going in the near and long term.
“JCK continues to provide unmatched opportunities to connect, learn from experts and each other, innovate, reinvigorate the industry and take businesses to the next level. This show continues to be a must-attend for all in the jewelry trade, but it is the can't-wait-to-attend feeling that extends that magic,” said Sarin Bachmann, senior vice president of the jewelry portfolio of RX. “Our events, activations, education and opportunities for networking, and the breadth and depth of exhibits are what create a true experience for our community.”

A Lively Show Floor
At the show’s bustling–and brightly glittering–expo, buyers praised the exhibit hall for its product organization, upbeat energy, and ability to drive business.
“JCK is impeccably organized, with an energy that is unmatched, resonating throughout every day from the Luxury invitation days through the last day of JCK,” said Denise Richards, CIO of Underwood Jewelers. “The meticulous care given to every detail by the JCK team, and everything being under one roof, makes for a seamless journey for retailers like us. It is an event where every moment is designed to inspire and drive success. Attending JCK is critical for our business.”
According to Doug McDowell, managing director of SDC, parent company of the prestigious A.Link and Penny Preville jewelry brands, JCK and Luxury create an unbeatable environment for driving business.
“There is an unparalleled energy from the moment buyers step onto the show floor that not only inspires but actively drives business growth,” McDowell said. “In my years of working with various brands, I’ve never experienced the level of success and seamless collaboration that we achieve as participants at Luxury and JCK.”
Education, Keynotes, Awards, and Special Events
Once again opening a day before the rest of the expo, the JCK Talks education program featured extensive content organized into tracks that provided retailers with key know-how on how to build their businesses and where to focus their energy. This year, JCK Talks was organized into four main stages with tracks ranging from business management to sustainability, including the new Sustainability Stage that featured speakers from retail to media.

Several awards presentations were also a highlight at the show, including the first-ever Kering Generation Award X Jewelry ceremony at JCK. With the theme of “Second Chance, First Choice,” the inaugural awards program provided a platform for young talent and startups, fostering a new generation of innovators committed to sustainability in the jewelry sector. The Jose Hess Design Awards honored the visionary legacy of the late Jose Hess, one of the most influential figures in the American jewelry design industry, by highlighting emerging and established talent whose fine jewelry designs embodied the theme of Radiance.
“It was a full circle moment, as Jose Hess had spent so many years being a large part of JCK,” Bachmann said.
Known for its electric atmosphere and show-stopping entertainment, this year’s exclusive industry party, JCK Rocks, closed the show with performances by the iconic recording artists Snoop Dog and Derulo, who delivered hit after hit to a delighted crowd.
