TOISA 2025

, on Saturday.
Embodying the spirit of 'Muskuraiye Aap Lucknow Mein Hai', actor/comedian Sunil Grover, renowned for his on-screen character of Dr Gulati, made the audience laugh their hearts out right from the word go.
"Ek Mira Famous Thi Gane Ke Liye, Ye Mira Famous Hai weight Uthaane Ke Liye," Grover cracked the introductory joke while addressing Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu.
As all sportspersons, luminaries, and spectators erupted in laughter, Grover followed up with his witty one-liners like ‘Muskuraiye Aap Lucknow Mein Hai, Bus Pakad Ke Jaiye Maha Kumbh Pass Mein Hai'.

From Kapil Dev to Saina Nehwal, and Abhinav Bindra and celebrities like Suniel Shetty and Divyanka Tripathi — he had one or two jokes for all.
In no mood to spare anyone around, Grover also targeted the TOISA organiser, the Times of India.
"I am single and still do not have enough money. Look at The Times of India, which sells newspapers for just Rs 5 but has earned so much to organise such a grand event," he said in his characteristic style.
On spotting Olympian shooter Abhinav Bindra, he explained what he has in common between him and Bindra.
"We both picked up guns to shoot. While Bindra secured a medal, I landed in jail," he quipped.
In yet another funny act, Grover walked up to boxer Vijender Singh and joined his head with his head, saying, this is not data transferring but I am transferring my two lies, Anju and Manju, into the boxer's head.
He asked Vijender to take special care of Anju as she gets cold when bathing with cold water, while Manju keeps on running, and hence he should be watchful.
The audience was left bursting into laughter when Grover's character Dr Mashoor Gulati made sports icons like Mary Kom, Anju Bobby George, Saina Nehwal, Manu Bhaker, actress Shweta Tripathi, and others play a stage game.
What stole the show was his closing act when Grover gave up the guise of Dr Mashoor Gulati only to mimic cricketer Kapil Dev and actor Suniel Shetty to perfection.
