The reality TV romance gods giveth, and they taketh away.

One day after The Bachelor's Zach and Kaity revealed that they tied the knot, another Bachelor couple is calling it quits. Season 29 star Grant Ellis announced in an Instagram post Friday that he and fiancée Juliana Pasquarosa have decided to end their engagement.

"Juliana and I have decided to end our relationship. We both gave this our best and poured a lot of love into each other, but after a lot of deep conversations, we've come to the understanding that we're simply not the right fit long term," he wrote. "What we had was meaningful. The connection we built on the show was real, and so was the effort we made to continue once the cameras stopped rolling."

He clarified that there was no ill will between the pair.

"There's no negativity here. No resentment," Ellis' post continued. "Just two people who care about each other and want the best for one another moving forward. I'll always be grateful for what we shared and for the growth that came with it."

In a separate post, Pasquarosa, a 28-year-old client services associate from Boston, called her relationship with the 31-year-old Ellis "meaningful" and assured fans that she and Grant are "still cheering each other on, just from different places now."

Pasquarosa and Ellis have been dealing with breakup rumors ever since their engagement aired on The Bachelor's March 24 finale. During a Q&A with fans on her Instagram in May, Pasquarosa said she and Ellis "stay laughing" about stories they read about their relationship online. “You really have to just pay attention to the people that love you and know you. Because those are the opinions in your life that matter," she added.

When the finale aired, Bachelor fans were shocked to learn Ellis had made promises to the other finalist, Litia Garr, a 31-year-old venture capitalist from Utah. In an interview on the live After the Final Rose reunion, a blindsided Garr revealed that Ellis assured her she was "the one" for weeks, all the way up until the night before proposing to Pasquarosa.

"I remember saying goodbye to him and saying, 'Oh my gosh, we're getting engaged tomorrow!' and he said, 'I know, I can't wait! I love you, I love you, I love you,'" Garr added.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly the day after the March finale, Pasquarosa insisted that Ellis had told her "everything" that happened with Garr. "Nothing that I saw was a surprise," she said. "Nothing shocked me. I felt really prepared about the fact that he had a relationship and a connection with somebody else on there, and a couple other ladies."
