BABINA Hospital conducts free health camp
Imphal, April 04 2025: In connection with observance of World Health Day 2025, BABINA Hospital, in collaboration with PAAMEL Foundation, an entity of BABINA Group of Companies, launched a three-day health camp from Thursday at BABINA Hospital, Khabeispi.
According to a statement, on the second day, the camp served over 150 patients, providing comprehensive healthcare services across multiple specialties, including Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Medicine, ENT, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Neurology and Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery (CTVS).
BABINA Hospital medical superintendent Dr Shyam-kumar Laishram, who also led the Paediatrics department during the camp, highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare.
"Our goal is to extend quality medical services to as many people as possible at the most affordable rate," he informed, adding that such initiatives are crucial in ensuring that individuals receive timely medical attention, especially those who might otherwise face barriers in accessing healthcare.
Dr Tamphasana Wairokpam attended to patients in the Neurology department, while Dr Naorem Vandana Devi oversaw Obstetrics & Gynaecology services.
The General Medicine department was managed by Dr Neha Thangjam and Dr Kangjam Lakshmi.
Surgical consultations and procedures were handled by Dr K Guigwangngam and Dr Nongmaithem Mackson from the Surgery department.
ENT specialists Dr S Raghumani Singh and Dr Pheiroijam Romibala provided consultations and treatments, while Dr Ksh Kala led the CTVS department.
Along with providing free medicines to the patients, the health camp offered a 10 per cent discount on all necessary investigations and procedures to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for the community.
