Assin Bereku (C/R), May 24, GNA- Mr Sylvester Amakye, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Assin North District of the Central Region, has laid down a roadmap for the development of the district.
Among them are education, health, road infrastructure, employable skills programmes and many others.
On education, Mr Amakye told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that he would collaborate with the chiefs and elders in the various communities to solve the furniture deficit in the Area.
Infrastructural development and provision of teaching and learning materials would also be improved to enhance teaching and learning for improved academic performance of students.
On health, the DCE revealed plans to ensure qualified health professionals were deployed to the various health centres whilst existing facilities were upgraded to meet standards.
He however, advised leaders in the communities to acknowledge the services of the health professionals and aid them to address some of their challenges if resources were unavailable.
To create jobs for the youth, skills acquisition programmes would be rolled out to support the youth and women, to boost local economy and alleviate the unemployment rate in the system.
The road system would also be improved, Mr Amakye added and gave the assurance that his doors were always opened for initiatives that would change the fortunes of the people.
He pledged to work together with all for the growth of the district.
