Ashley Tisdale Hasn't Shown 'Phineas and Ferb' to Daughter Jupiter Yet (Exclusive)

Ashley Tisdale's daughter hasn't gotten to know Candace Flynn yet.

Ahead of the upcoming Phineas and Ferb reboot, the actress, singer and Being Frenshe founder is opening up about why her 4-year-old daughter Jupiter hasn't seen the beloved Disney Channel animated series — on which Tisdale plays Candace, the titular characters' disapproving older sister.

"I haven't [watched the show with Jupiter]. I mean, she's seen [the characters] Phineas and Ferb," Tisdale, 39, tells PEOPLE at the Bush's Bluey Baked Beans launch event at CAMP in New York City on May 14.

"It might be a little bit more for older age range," she adds of Phineas and Ferb. "She knows that I'm on it, and she has seen that, but I haven't shown her the new episodes."

While Jupiter hasn't sat down for an official Phineas and Ferb viewing, she's had a behind-the-scenes look at the show, as Tisdale brought her to a recording session last year and documented the experience on Instagram.

About 10 years after the series originally concluded in June 2015, Phineas and Ferb is coming back for its fifth season on June 5 and will air on both Disney Channel and Disney XD plus stream on Disney+ the next day.

"The new episodes are amazing, and I'm so excited because my character finally has aged a little bit," explains Tisdale. "She's 16, and so I really can't wait for everybody to see it. It's one of those things where [creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh] did not go far from the DNA of it, which is so great."

The "He Said She Said" performer attended the Bush's Bluey Baked Beans event, where fans got to meet Bluey, the Australian cartoon dog from the animated series of the same name, and walk through a full-size replica of her home.

Tisdale and husband Christopher French, who share Jupiter and daughter Emerson, are frequent Bluey viewers. "We really sometimes push it on them. We're like, ‘We should watch Bluey today," she says. "Emerson is only 8 months [old], so she has yet to [watch Bluey]. She sees a little bit of it, but for sure Jupiter is a fan, and 100% me and my husband are fans."

One of her favorite parts of the show is that each episode has a "deep meaning." She adds, "The parents are so great at exploring imagination and creativity with Bluey and Bingo, and it's just a feel-good show... I love it."

Through the collaboration, fans can find special Bush's Baked Beans cans featuring the characters of Bluey — which Tisdale anticipates will excite Jupiter. "It's really hard when you have a picky eater," she details. "When they like something, you tend to stick with it, and so she's always been a humongous beans fan, and if Bluey's on it, she has to have it, so it's helpful."
