As San Beda trends upward, so does trending Janti Miller
JANTI Miller has a knack for looking good on whatever screen he's on.
And up close and personal and in living color, he's not too shabby, either.
Just two games into his stint with San Beda in the Playtime Cares Filoil EcoOil 18th Preseason Cup, the do-it-all playmaker already put up a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double.
He then followed that up by helping stage a roaring comeback against reigning NCAA champion Mapua where he dropped 13 markers, including all but two of his side's last six points.

Miller, who hails from Fairfield, California, was first discovered by Fil-Am Nation Select, and not long after, got on the radar of San Beda team manager Jude Roque.
As he explained, “I was always supposed to come here, around ‘18 or ‘17, when I went to a Fil-Am camp, but I always held off.”
“But then I wasn’t doing nothing for a year and coach Jude hit my agent and was like, ‘Come play.’ So I came.”
While his 6-foot-4 frame as a guard is hard to miss, it also doesn't hurt that he has a sizable online presence, garnering quite the following on Instagram (48.1K followers) and TikTok (174.9K followers).
Once he set foot in the Philippines, he caught the attention of netizens who claimed he was the next target for the ongoing trend of transfers in collegiate basketball.
Just to make it clear, however, Miller said he's in San Beda to stay - and that he hasn't received any offers from anyone, nor does he want to.
“They just see me as someone who could get recruited out of [San Beda], but I don’t listen to them. I’m here to stay,” he added.
Miller can be considered a new name in Philippine basketball, but he's actually had a lot of experience in the collegiate level with Casper College and Lincoln University before trying his luck with a couple of G League teams.
Unfortunately, that didn't work out. But fortunately, the red-and-white den has long had its door open for him.

In turn, the 21 year old is raring and ready to help the Red Lions roar as champions once more.
“Last season was kinda rough for them, I heard, so I don’t want to be one of those people that came here and didn’t win,” he said.
“I just want to instill heart, you know. I'm gonna score, if I'm not scoring I can do other things, just don't be one-dimensional.”
