In the second of two meetings this season, No. 9 Iowa State hosts No. 22 Arizona in a key Big 12 showdown in primetime on Saturday night (March 1).

Arizona looks to have found its stride in Big 12 play. The Wildcats have struggled over recent weeks, dropping three of its past five games in conference play, including two losses to unranked teams.

There is a possibility that senior guard Keshon Gilbert returns to the starting lineup for the Cyclones after missing the last two games due to a muscle strain injury.

Senior guard Curtis Jones has emerged as a critical part of Iowa State's backcourt in the core part of the rotation. Jones has scored at least 20 points in double-digit games while averaging a career-high 16.9 points per game (good for a team-high for Iowa State this regular season).

Leading the team in scoring in back-to-back seasons, super senior guard Caleb Love has scored in double figures in four consecutive games for the Wildcats in conference play. Love and junior guard Jaden Bradley combined for 31 points, eight assists, and nine steals in Arizona's overtime win over Iowa State in late January in Tucson at the McKale Center.
