The announcement follows the release of Falz’s sixth studio album, The Feast.

Falz, known for blending sharp lyricism with incisive social commentary, expressed gratitude at being selected as the cover star for Rap Life Africa.

“It’s an incredible honour to be the Rap Life Africa cover star,” Falz told Apple Music. “Hip hop has always been a powerful tool for storytelling and self-expression, and I’m proud to represent a generation that’s pushing boundaries and using the culture to spark real conversations. This moment means a lot, not just for me, but for the movement.”

The Feast delivers a rich blend of styles, offering everything from fiery Afrobeat anthems to introspective and soulful reflections. The album’s lead single, ‘Anything Goes’, featuring Nigerian rapper ODUMODUBLVCK, stands out as a compelling exploration of societal chaos and perseverance.

“This song is a reflection of the madness we see and survive every day,” Falz said. “It’s a reality in cities like Lagos, where the lines between right and wrong are constantly blurred. We wanted to capture that raw energy, the frustration, the irony, but also the resilience.”

This month’s edition of Rap Life Radio also shines a spotlight on South African star Nasty C with his latest single ‘Soft’, featuring Usimamane. The track, which Nasty C self-produced, reflects his rise from humble beginnings to artistic acclaim. Nigerian rapper Ice Prince also joins the line-up with his latest release, ‘Slap The Ring’.
