Real Madrid are currently battling out with Barcelona for the La Liga title and an in-form Antony’s absence would have benefitted La Casa Blanca, so their frustration is justified.
Antony’s challenge on the Getafe player, though, was late and cynical but it arguably was not enough to warrant a straight red card as the challenge he made was not a high one.
And given the quality of Real Madrid’s squad, Antony’s presence should not be a telling difference if Los Blancos perform at their best.
