On June 25, a property company executive shared that they were looking for Kabei to offer her a job and even followed it up with some words of wisdom.
Anne had posted a message saying that she was going for the June 25 protests and did not care about dying because she had nothing to lose.
Anne is from Turkana, and she’s a second-class honours graduate. In her emotional post, she also highlighted the harsh reality of going to school in pursuit of education to get a good job in the future,e only to be bitterly disappointed afterwards.
It has since emerged that the company has rescinded the offer to the young girl.
The company allegedly communicated to Anne through an email, and from the letter, it emerged that the young woman had attended an interview at the company.
"Your story reflects a journey many of us can relate to. It is this perspective that inspired us to connect with you in the first place. We commend your courage in expressing yourself publicly and honestly," read the email.
"While no opportunity may be available that matches your profile, we will keep your details on record for any future openings, where we believe your strengths and record may be a better fit," read another part.
Singer and comedian Alvan Love shared that the company allegedly dropped the lady behind the scenes. after allegedly using the offer as a marketing strategy.
"I feel sorry for her because since that post, she says no other opportunities have been offered because everyone thinks she's now sorted. The company has gone ahead and removed the post. But there are still copies of the same on X/twitter," he said.
"I saw an email the Human Resource officer sent her after an interview and nope, they were not even willing to take her on in the first place. This happens a lot when companies jump on a trend and are seen to offer huge opportunities to people, then at the tail end drop them like a hot brick; the person is left more desolate than they were before, while everyone thinks they are now ok," he added.

According to Alvan, Anne reached out to him crying on July 2, asking if that is what happens.
"I told her yes unfortunately some companies may not be as ethical in their Public Relation activities and unfortunately she had fallen for one such gimmick," said the comedian.
"I have since tried to reach out to the same company that publicly called her for a job and have only been met with a very cold response. Even I felt sad. Why show up as a hero to help then behind the scenes bail out? " he said.
According to Alvan, Anne would still be getting offers from other companies if the firm hadn't stepped up to the plate to trend as a knight in shining armour.
"Many of us got really moved by the speech of how helpless the youth of this country feel and why we are on the streets protesting day in day out. She spoke for many and got us all in tears," he said.
"She got her hopes of changing her life so high up I can feel the cliff she was dropped from. If there is a kind soul out there let’s try help her get a life going," he added.
reached out to the company to see why they had a different position and hear their side of the story, but they had not answered by the time of publishing the story.
Politician Mike Sonko was touched by Mary Njoki's urgent appeal for employment so that she could support her children.
According to Njoki, she neither had family support nor relatives to help her educate her children and also take care of her bills.
Sonko offered her a job as he sought assistance on the potential opportunity to provide for her.
