Angel Reese posts strong two-word message after LSU's Sweet 16 win
The LSU women's basketball team is heading to the Elite Eight after a tremendous victory over the NC State Wolfpack, which former Tiger Angel Reese thinks was "personal."
LSU defeated NC State 80-73, picking up their third win in the NCAA Tournament. They have now defeated the Wolfpack, Florida State Seminoles and San Diego State Aztecs.
Following the win over NC State, Reese took to social media, sharing her immediate reaction to LSU's NCAA Tournament success.
"Oh & that win was personal," Reese said. "THANK YA."
Reese then added to her response, sharing an emphatic message about the Tigers' March Madness run.
"LET'S DANCE," Reese said.
Reese formerly played for the LSU Tigers. She helped lead the program to an NCAA national championship during the 2022-23 season.
During her collegiate career, spending two season at LSU and two season at Maryland, Reese averaged 18.6 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
LSU is now looking to win another title, led by Aneesah Morrow. The talented Tigers forward finished the game against NC State posting 30 points and 18 rebounds.
So far this season, Morrow has recorded 18.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, leading LSU in the rebounding category.
She's also proved to be an elite defender, leading the Tigers with 2.5 steals per game.
