Maryland Sends Parting Message to Julian Reese After NCAA Tournament Loss
The Maryland Terrapins met their match in the Sweet 16. Maryland lost 87-71 to the Florida Gators, officially falling out of the NCAA Tournament pool.
Maryland entered the game having defeated Grand Canyon and Colorado State. While both victories came against double-digit seeds, the Terrapins looked like true national title contenders, led by Julian Reese and Derik Queen.
Reese has been with the program since 2021 and has established himself as a Maryland legend.
After the blowout loss to Florida, the Terrapins highlighted Reese, sharing a kind note about the Maryland star.
"A Terrapin for life," posted Maryland.

In the loss to Florida, Reese posted 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
So far this season, Reese has nearly averaged a double-double, recording 13.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.1 steals per game.
Reese leads the team in average blocks, while tying Queen as the leading rebounder.
Reese's sister, Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, was in attendance to watch the Maryland star's NCAA Tournament game, what could be his last.
While Julian Reese hasn't announced his plans for the future, the loss to Florida may have marked an end to his career at Maryland.
As Maryland explained, the Terrapins star is signing off the season having produced 1,488 points and 1,014 rebounds.
