Andorra 0-0 England: Kane comes close but Three Lions toil in sunny Barcelona
England toiled for the majority of a one-sided, yet predictable, first half hour against Andorra in Barcelona.
The Three Lions had nearly all the ball on a hot and sticky day in Catalonia but, despite a plethora of attacking players on the field, did very little with it.
Tuchel’s line-up contained just three recognised defenders mindful of the fact his side would boss possession and so it proved.

However, that did not result in a host of chances with home goalkeeper Iker Alvarez rarely tested.

He was called into action inside the first minute, getting his body behind a Jude Bellingham snapshot, but then watched his defence cope with England’s forays forward with relative ease until the 13th minute when the lively Noni Madueke latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the area and cracked in an effort which forced Alvarez to palm clear.
The closest England came was after 18 minutes.
Madueke found some space down the left and his cross picked out Harry Kane only for the ball to go through the England captain’s legs.
Curtis Jones recycled the ball and pulled it back for Kane but he could only fire his shot wide.
