AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Confirmed

AMD has announced the Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025, following up on the RX 9070 XT. However, detailed information about the mid-range graphics card is limited. The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT features 32 Compute Units and 16GB of GDDR6 memory, targeting 1080p gaming. Its Total Board Power (TBP) is 150-182W, about half that of the RX 9070 XT, suggesting lower power consumption and potentially lower performance.

While AMD has not disclosed pricing or release date information, the Radeon RX 9060 XT is expected to compete with the Intel Arc B580 and the recently-released RTX 5060, which have power budgets of 145W and 190W, respectively, and launched for around $250-$300. If the RX 9060 XT stays in that price range, its 16GB of VRAM could give it an edge over Nvidia's 8GB and Intel's 12GB, potentially extending its lifespan as games demand more video memory.

The performance of the RX 9060 XT remains to be seen, but its larger frame buffer could make it a compelling option in the budget GPU market.

Jackie Thomas, the Hardware and Buying Guides Editor at IGN, notes that the RX 9060 XT may be the budget GPU to watch.
