Ali Fazal, widely known for his roles in 'Fukrey' and 'Mirzapur,' is all set to explore a challenging new character, that of a kleptomaniac, in his upcoming film. The actor recently confirmed the project through an Instagram post, sharing that he has six months to prepare before shooting begins at the end of this year.

Keeping the details under wraps, the project promises to showcase Fazal in a fresh, psychologically complex role.Ali Fazal Steps Into the World of Kleptomania In a humorous Instagram story, Ali wrote, “I’m playing a Kleptomaniac in my next film, so I got six months to prepare. Featuring an impressive ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta, the film is set to hit theatres on July 4. Just recently, the team unveiled the teaser for its first single, Zamaana Lage, described as a “modern ghazal for today’s soul.

” Ali shared the teaser with fans, building anticipation for the film’s music and release.

Meanwhile, 'Life in a… Metro' (2007), the first part, is an anthology of interconnected love stories set in Mumbai, capturing the complexities of urban relationships. It follows characters navigating infidelity, societal pressures, and personal aspirations. Key stories include: a woman in an unhappy marriage finding solace in an affair, a man struggling with unrequited love, a couple facing workplace romance challenges, and an elderly couple rediscovering companionship.

The movie had received much critical acclaim.
