Albert Ojwang's Family Dismisses Eric Omondi's Claims They Received KSh 10m in Donations
Published 19 hours ago• 2 minute read
“It has been said on various media channels that the family received KSh 10 million. I have been asked to set the record straight, and I am doing so from the pulpit, fully aware of the consequences of lying,” the lawyer said.
He continued:
“The family did not receive KSh 10 million. The family wishes to confirm that they received KSh 2 million from the Head of State, KSh 1 million from Raila Odinga, and KSh 2 million from Kenyans who contributed various amounts. All this totals to KSh 5,060,000. I repeat, it is not true that the family received KSh 10 million from one individual.”
Here are some reactions from social media users:
"I believe Eric, case closed."
"But they should thank him,his the one come with the idea."
"Whatever they got,let them budget for that, kwani walikuwa wapate wapi, let's learn to appreciate the little we have."
"Kitu ya bure hata kama ni ten bob shukuru, alikua anapata wapi?Asitusumbulie Erick Omondi akili.RIP Albert."
"And what does the treasure say?...or was Eric Omondi the family treasure?"
"If you are in front to fundrive everytime, you will be mistaken for having a bad motive in it!"
"Why are ppl so insensitive.. according to the statement it’s for the purpose of clarity not entitlement. It’s good to see things beyond your anger issues ."

During the same mass, Ojwang's father, Meshack Opiyo, sent a pointed warning to his son's killers.
He read from Bible and reflected on how the shedding of innocent blood brings pain and suffering.
Meshack then declared that the perpetrators of his son's murder would never know peace.
