Alan Jones acquired a 27-hectare estate in Fitzroy Falls for $2.3 million in 2003. Formerly named Sanford Orcas, he renamed the property Elizabeth Farm and Charlieville in honour of his parents. After buying it, Jones commissioned renovations that linked the estate’s two main residences via a central courtyard, transforming the site into a unified 10-bedroom homestead.

The 25-room residence included a private two-bedroom wing for Jones, featuring formal and informal living and dining areas, a central lounge, and a home office. The remaining portion, used by his niece Tonia Taylor and her family, consisted of eight bedrooms, a rumpus room, and shared living and dining spaces.

The real estate property was sold in 2022, although the final sale price was not publicly disclosed. Initially listed in April with price expectations between $16 million and $17.5 million, the listing was later revised in October by Inglis Rural Property’s Liam Griffiths to a range of $15 million to $16 million. It was believed to have sold below the original price guide.

Jones purchased a sixth-floor apartment in Circular Quay, Sydney, for $10.5 million in 2017. The residence, offering views of the Opera House, was bought off-market from Queensland coal miner Brian Flannery, who had acquired it for $3.9 million in 2003. Covering 200 square metres of internal space, the transaction equated to $52,000 per square metre.

In 2021, Jones, in partnership with his niece Tonia Taylor and her husband Justin Taylor, bought a Riverfront mansion in Southport, Queensland, for $12.25 million. The four-bedroom home features 1,099 square metres of internal living space and occupies a 33.7-metre frontage to the Main River.
