Kenya's Raila Odinga has been defeated in the African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson election.
Mahmoud Youssouf of Djibouti amassed 33 votes to win the vote.
The final results were realised after intense rounds of secret balloting by the heads of state and government at Nelson Mandela Hall.
