Ace investor Madhusudan Murlidhar Kela has bought stake in the digital entertainment entity, showed the December quarter shareholding pattern of Nazara Technologies.
According to the latest shareholding update filed with the exchanges on the previous day, Kela acquired 10,96,305 equity shares in the company, equivalent to 1.28 per cent stake. During Q3, the name of Madhusudan Kela appeared in the shareholders' list.
As per the Securities and Exchange Board of India's (SEBI) mandate listed companies in India are required to disclose the names of shareholders who own at least 1 per cent of a company's shares. This disclosure is part of the company's quarterly shareholding data.
Besides Nazara Technologies, Kela has also added fresh stake in Waaree Energies and Indostar Capital during the October-December quarter.
Additionally, through his wife Madhuri Kela, the investor has bought 1.16 per cent stake or 33,41,700 equity shares in Waaree Energies. Also, in Indostar Capital - Madhuri Kela added fresh position buying 2.48 per cent stake.
The other top public shareholders in the gaming company as of the December quarter include Kamath Associates and Late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.
At around the time of writing this copy at around 9:54 am, shares of Nazara Technologies were down as much as 1.51 per cent or Rs 15.45 at Rs 1,009.30 per share on the BSE, while at the day's low it hit levels of 996.05, a drag of nearly 3 per cent from the previous close.
Commanding a market capitalisation of Rs 8,611.7 crore, the company is engaged in the business of diversified gaming and sports media platform.
