Celebrities have often appeared in Grand Theft Auto games, and fans expect the same with GTA 6. Ray Liotta playing Tommy Vercetti, the lead in Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Samuel L. Jackson voicing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas' antagonist, Frank Tenpenny, are some of the best examples. What's interesting is that there already are quite a few rumors out there claiming involvement of various well-known personalities in the upcoming Rockstar Games title.

The developer hasn't revealed any cast members for the next Grand Theft Auto installment yet, or confirmed any of these rumors, but some of them seem plausible. In this article, we will take a look at five GTA 6 celebrity rumors that could actually come true.

This article discusses rumors and speculations and also reflects the writer's subjective opinion. Readers are advised to take it with a grain of salt.

Stephen Root, a veteran actor who has worked in several movies and TV shows throughout his career, is now rumored to play a major character in the next Rockstar title.

The character in question is Brian Heder, a drug runner and associate of Jason Duval (one of the two GTA 6 protagonists). He was introduced in the opening moments of the title's second trailer, and fans immediately started speculating if Stephen Root may be playing him. Brian's voice and appearance do resemble the actor, which is why this rumor could be true.

Oscar Jaenada is another actor rumored to be playing a major character in GTA 6. He has worked in movies like The Losers and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Back in May 2025, Jaenada apparently uploaded an Instagram story featuring an image of Raul Bautista.

Fans believe that he might have teased playing the character in this way. We haven't heard what Raul sounds like just yet, as he was only introduced through the GTA 6 screenshots. That said, Jaenada does look like him to a good extent, which (and also taking the Instagram story into account) could be why this rumor may be true.

Drake is one of the most well-known musicians globally and has been so for quite some time. Interestingly, he is rumored to have his very own radio station in Grand Theft Auto 6, where he reportedly could be uploading exclusive soundtracks.

The reason why this rumor could be true is that Rockstar Games has done this before. Celebrities like Kenny Loggins and Cara Delevingne host the radio stations Los Santos Rock Radio and Non Stop Pop FM, respectively, in GTA 5 and its multiplayer, GTA Online.

Back in January 2024, just a month after the first GTA 6 trailer had come out, popular musician T-Pain stated that he used to be active on the GTA 5 RP server NoPixel. He then alleged that he was asked to stop doing so after he started working on Grand Theft Auto 6.

This is quite an interesting claim, as it comes directly from the artist himself, which is why it could be true. However, Rockstar Games hasn't confirmed it so far, so it remains a rumor at this time.

Actor and celebrity chef Matty Matheson is rumored to be playing Cal Hampton, a friend of Jason, in Grand Theft Auto 6. The character appears in GTA 6's trailer 2 and is seen in a bunch of screenshots as well, so he might play an important role in the title's story.

It is worth noting that Jack Black and Bobby Moynihan are also rumored to play the same character. However, Matty Matheson's voice and appearance arguably match that of Cal Hampton a lot, which is why this particular celebrity rumor could be true.
