4 killed, 4 injured as vehicle carrying devotees from Maha Kumbh collides with truck in Uttar Pradesh

SONBHADRA: At least four people were killed and four others sustained injuries when a vehicle carrying devotees from

Maha Kumbh

collided with a truck on Sunday morning, police said.
The incident took place at around 6.30am in Darnakhar village while the people were on their way back to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. They had visited Prayagraj for a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh, as stated by additional superintendent of police (ASP) Kalu Singh
The victims who lost their lives were identified as Lakshmi Bai (30), Anil Pradhan (37), Thakur Ram Yadav (58), and Rukmini Yadav (56).
The injured individuals received initial treatment at Babhani Community Health Centre. Due to their serious condition, they were subsequently transferred to the district hospital.
The authorities have sent the deceased for post-mortem examination.
