LUCKNOW: At least four people lost their lives, and several others were injured in a tragic accident involving a bus and a tempo traveller on the

Purvanchal Expressway

on Sunday morning.

According to officials, the bus, which was en route to Ayodhya from Chhattisgarh, had broken down and was undergoing repairs when the accident occurred. A tempo traveller, also heading towards Ayodhya, rammed into the stationary bus at high speed.
"The impact was severe, resulting in the immediate death of three passengers in the traveller, while another succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital," said superintendent of police (SP) Dinesh Kumar Singh.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and arranged alternative transport for other passengers.
Those critically injured were immediately shifted to the Trauma Centre for advanced medical care.

"A bus broke down on its way to Ayodhya from Chhattisgarh and was being repaired. A traveller, also going towards Ayodhya, crashed into the bus... 3 people died on the spot in the traveller, while one died on the way to. Passengers are being dispatched by other vehicles. The seriously injured ones are being sent to Trauma Centre, " said SP Dinesh Kumar Singh.
