• July 14 - The Disney Wish began its inaugural maiden voyage.
• November 16 - The Global Dream (Chinese: 世界梦号), an incomplete cruise ship formerly owned by now-defunct Dream Cruises, was purchased by Disney and will be reused and rebuilt as a new ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet in the near future.

• January 20 - Twisted Wonderland (Aniplex/Walt Disney Japan) was released on Android and iOS in the U.S.
• February 10 - The cloud-based versions of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re:Mind (Square Enix) were released on the Nintendo Switch. In addition, a bundle pack purchase known as Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud which contains all three games was also made available.
• April 5 - LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (Lucasfilm Games/Warner Bros. Games/Traveller's Tales) was released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
• June 23 - Disney Mirrorverse was released on Android and iOS in the U.S.
• September 6 - Pay-to-play early access to Disney Dreamlight Valley (Gameloft/Gameloft Barcelona) was released on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Series X|S including Xbox Game Pass access, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch.
• September 19 - Return to Monkey Island (Lucasfilm Games) was released on Nintendo Switch and PC.
• October 18 - MARVEL Snap (Nuverse) was released on iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows.
• December 2 - Marvel's Midnight Suns was released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
• December 6 - Disney Dreamlight Valley (Gameloft/Gameloft Barcelona) early access version was released on macOS for Mac computers with Apple Silicon chips only.

• January 14 - The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts was held until February 21, as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration.
• January 19 - To expand local and regional content for Disney+, Disney+ International Content Group was founded.^[9]
• January 27 - D23 x Walt Disney Imagineering Magical Milestones – Tokyo DisneySea 20th Anniversary was held virtually until February 27.
• January 31 - "We Don't Talk About Bruno" reaches Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the second Disney song to do so, after 1992's Aladdin song "A Whole New World".
• February 9 - Walt Disney Company executives discussed their fiscal First Quarter 2022 financial results.
• February 28 - The Walt Disney Company would no longer be releasing films in Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine and the unfolding humanitarian crisis.
• March 2 - The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival (and Ash Wednesday) were held until July 4 (Independence Day), as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration.
• March 7 - The Walt Disney Company at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference.
• March 9 - The Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting Of Shareholders event was held virtually.
• March 10 - Along with no longer releasing its films in Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis, The Walt Disney Company announced it would be pausing all of its businesses in Russia, including content and product licensing, Disney Cruise Line activities, and National Geographic magazine, tours, and content production.
• March 14 - Production begins on Prom Pact.
• March 28 - Kingdom Hearts celebrated its 20th anniversary.
• March 29 - Nobody Like U hits Number 5 on the Hot 100 Billboard. In doing so, it has become the first original song from a Pixar movie to ever chart in the US.
• April 10 - Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event was held in Tokyo (Japan).
• April 14 - Star India was rebranded to Disney Star.^[10]

  • Walt Disney Company executives discussed their fiscal Second Quarter 2022 financial results.
  • During the financial discussion, Bob Chapek made the statement for the box office performance for Marvel Cinematic Universe films including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness after the Marvel boycott in China since 2021.^[11].
• May 18 - The Walt Disney Company at the 9th Annual MoffettNathanson Media and Communications Summit.
• May 26 - Star Wars Celebration, which was originally planned to run in 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was held until May 29.

  • Disney Star announced that they have dropped the Fox name on Fox Star Studios and was renamed as Star Studios. Its logo and fanfare was still kept intact.^[12]
  • Goofy celebrated his 90th anniversary.
• June 15 - Production wraps on the first season of The Villains of Valley View.
• June 22 - Brave celebrated its 10th anniversary.
• July 15 - The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival was held until November 19, as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration.
• August 1 - D23 x Walt Disney Imagineering Magical Milestones – Celebrate 30 Years of Disneyland Paris was held virtually until August 2.
• August 12 - The annual Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event, which was originally planned to run in 2020 and 2021, but was cancelled in 2020 and replaced by Disney After Hours Boo Bash in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, returns to the Magic Kingdom, running until October 31 (Halloween), as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration.
• August 13 - Bambi celebrated its 80th anniversary.
• September 5 - Oswald the Lucky Rabbit celebrated his 95th birthday.
• September 8 - Disney+ celebrated its second annual Disney+ Day.

  • The Disney D23 Expo, which was originally planned to run in 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ran until September 11.^[13]
  • Walt Disney Pictures introduces its current logo during the Disney/Pixar showcase at the D23 Expo. It is expected to make its official debut in front of Strange World.
• September 14 - Production wraps on the first season of Saturdays.
• September 23 - Production begins on the fourth and final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

  • Almost all television channels operated and owned by Disney are pulled from Dish Network following a carriage renewal dispute.
  • Despite this, A&E channels co-owned by Disney as well as local ABC channels not owned by Disney remained.
• October 2 - All missing Disney channels are restored after Dish Network signs a new deal with Disney.
• October 22 - Ice Age celebrated its 20th anniversary on National Nut Day.
• November 8 - The annual Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party event, which was originally planned to run in 2020 and 2021, but was cancelled in 2020, and replaced by Disney's Very Merriest After Hours in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, returned to the Magic Kingdom, running until December 22 as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration.
• November 9 - Production begins on the second season of The Villains of Valley View.

• November 20 - In a surprising turn of events, Bob Chapek, chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company, stepped down from his role, and Bob Iger returned as CEO at the same time.
• November 25 - The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays was held until December 30, as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration.
• November 30 - The second Disney+ Including Star: Asia-Pacific Content Showcase was held in Singapore.
• December 9 - After 16 years of usage, the 2006-2022 Walt Disney Pictures logo ends its run starting with Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again.
• December 14 - Disney Channel in Russia permanently shut down due to the country’s invasion of Ukraine and the impact of sanctions against the country.
