- January 20 - Twisted Wonderland (Aniplex/Walt Disney Japan) was released on Android and iOS in the U.S.
- February 10 - The cloud-based versions of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re:Mind (Square Enix) were released on the Nintendo Switch. In addition, a bundle pack purchase known as Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud which contains all three games was also made available.

- June 23 - Disney Mirrorverse was released on Android and iOS in the U.S.
- September 6 - Pay-to-play early access to Disney Dreamlight Valley (Gameloft/Gameloft Barcelona) was released on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Series X|S including Xbox Game Pass access, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Nintendo Switch.
- September 19 - Return to Monkey Island (Lucasfilm Games) was released on Nintendo Switch and PC.

- March 9 - The Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting Of Shareholders event was held virtually.
- March 10 - Along with no longer releasing its films in Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis, The Walt Disney Company announced it would be pausing all of its businesses in Russia, including content and product licensing, Disney Cruise Line activities, and National Geographic magazine, tours, and content production.

- March 28 - Kingdom Hearts celebrated its 20th anniversary.
- March 29 - Nobody Like U hits Number 5 on the Hot 100 Billboard. In doing so, it has become the first original song from a Pixar movie to ever chart in the US.
- April 10 - Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event was held in Tokyo (Japan).

- The Disney D23 Expo, which was originally planned to run in 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ran until September 11.[13]
- Walt Disney Pictures introduces its current logo during the Disney/Pixar showcase at the D23 Expo. It is expected to make its official debut in front of Strange World.

- Almost all television channels operated and owned by Disney are pulled from Dish Network following a carriage renewal dispute.
- Despite this, A&E channels co-owned by Disney as well as local ABC channels not owned by Disney remained.

- October 22 - Ice Age celebrated its 20th anniversary on National Nut Day.

- November 20 - In a surprising turn of events, Bob Chapek, chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company, stepped down from his role, and Bob Iger returned as CEO at the same time.

- November 30 - The second Disney+ Including Star: Asia-Pacific Content Showcase was held in Singapore.
