While the formula remains largely the same, 2K has mixed things up a little this year for 's DLC. There are still packs that will add to the latest game's roster throughout the year, the twist being that some of them will include unrevealed celebrity guests. With a little more than a week to go until the second DLC pack drops, 2K has revealed who one of those celebrity guests is going to be.

2K previously announced that NBA star Tyrese Haliburton will be a playable character in the upcoming Dunk & Destruction Pack, and it has now revealed that an NBA legend who has dabbled with the wrestling business before will be joining him. That legend is Shaquille O'Neal. Confirmation that Shaq is coming to the game on June 25 was shared on Twitter along with a first look at how the basketball icon will appear in the game.
Haliburton and Shaq will be joined by The Great Khali and Abyss, who will be making his WWE video game debut, in the aptly-named Dunk & Destruction Pack. The WWE 2K25 website doesn't have Shaq's name listed yet, but does note that there are still two NBA stars to be announced. I'm unsure if those two stars are now accounted for via Shaq and Haliburton, or if there's still one more to come.
Since Shaq has closer ties to the wrestling business than Haliburton, his addition to WWE 2K25 has received a far warmer reception from fans. However, there are still a few fans wondering where exactly the celebrity guest from the last pack has gone. 2K noted that their addition would be announced soon, and now that it has revealed two celebrities for the next pack, those who bought special editions, or paid for the season pass, want to know where the missing celebrity from May's DLC has gone.

May's New Wave Pack included wrestlers who signed with the company too late to be included on the base roster, like Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. Probably one of the more popular packs this year due to who it brought to the game, but it will remain tainted until 2K reveals who its celebrity guest will be. There's been no word on who it was meant to be or why their arrival has been delayed, but the longer the wait, and the more other announcements are made, the more people who have paid extra for the DLC will want to know what's going on.
