With Love, Meghan Budget: How Much Money Went Into Filming Show | In Touch Weekly

’s new lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, was a huge project with Netflix — reportedly one with a multimillion-dollar budget. In Touch breaks down all the costs that went into filming the show.

Meghan’s new show, which sees the Duchess of Sussex invite guests into the kitchen, the garden and more, was part of a multiyear deal that she and husband signed with Netflix in 2020. Multiple outlets have reported that the deal was worth $100 million and covered scripted and unscripted series, films, documentaries and children’s programming.

In addition to With Love, Meghan, the duke and duchess have released a handful of other projects with Netflix, including their 2022 documentaries Harry & Meghan and Live to Lead, the 2023 docuseries Heart of Invictus and the 2024 docuseries Polo.

Though Meghan and Harry purchased a $14.65 million mansion in Montecito, California, in 2020, this was not where the former Suits actress chose to film her lifestyle series. Instead, an $8 million nearby farmhouse served as the backdrop for With Love, Meghan.

The farmhouse sits on five acres of land and comes with four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, according to Realtor.com. The home also features an open floor plan and comes with an additional barn, which fans will see in the series. Picturesque lemon and avocado trees are planted on the grounds, the outlet reported.

Meghan explained why she chose to film her show at a rental instead of her actual home in an interview with People.

“I wanted to protect that safe haven,” she shared in the March 3, 2025, interview. “We’re a close-knit family, and I love those moments — putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day. Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!”

However, Meghan said that viewers will see a few scenes filmed in her family’s chicken coop, garden and orchard.

Fans who watch With Love, Meghan will see the duchess sporting some high-end clothing and jewelry. When the trailer for the Netflix series dropped in January 2025, Meghan was spotted wearing a $13,400 Cartier necklace in one scene and a $395 cashmere sweater with a $1,325 crewneck in another, according to Page Six.

A source exclusively told In Touch on January 31, 2025, that Meghan “spent a small fortune upgrading her wardrobe” ahead of the show’s release.

“Meghan has always loved designer clothes and fancy things but the crowd she’s fallen in with in Montecito are next-level rich and that has absolutely raised the bar for her when it comes to her own style,” the insider said. “They all have stylists and think nothing of wearing hundreds of thousands in jewelry, if not millions, on a day-to-day basis.”

The source later added that Meghan “hired an A-list stylist” to help her “exude quiet luxury at all times.”

“That does take a lot of effort, not to mention a ton of money,” the insider concluded. “But in her view, it’s crucial to building this aspirational brand. People need to want to emulate her, and that means she’s got to look the part of a Princess.”

With Love, Meghan will consist of eight episodes. The entire series will be available to stream at once on Netflix starting on March 4, 2025.
