President William Ruto has sacked former Kesses MP Swarup Mishra from the chairmanship of the Kenya BioVax Institute.

The president published a gazette notice on Friday, July 4, communicating the revocation of Mishra's appointment.
Ruto replaced Mishra with Charles Githinji, who was the non-executive chairperson of the board of directors at the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
"I appoint Dr Charles Githinji to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Kenya Biovax Institute Limited, for three years...The appointment of Dr Swarup Ranjan Mishra is revoked," read the president's notice.
