At the end of The Amazing Race season 37 finale on May 15, 2025, a dedication screen appeared with text reading, “Dedicated to our dear friend,” and “Travel safe, Jack.” No, this wasn’t referring to , who made up one-half of the season’s winning team alongside best friend . Instead, it was a tribute to Jack Walworth, who never appeared on camera on The Amazing Race but still played an important role in the show’s production.

Jack served as a producer on The Amazing Race from 2006 to 2025, according to his IMDb. He and his fellow producers were nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards, one in 2017 and one in 2018, for Outstanding Reality Competition Program.

In addition to The Amazing Race and The Amazing Race Australia, Jack was a producer on shows like Expedition Unknown, Stringers: LA, Cops, Unexplained Mysteries and more. He has also worked as a director and in the camera and electrical department.

“As a producer on a wide range of shows for over 30 years, Jack develops shows with deep, authentic stories,” his website reads. “Working with some of the most creative, talented people in television, he brings a patience and persistence to lead a project team to completion and give it legs for future seasons. He has been in the field, in the edit bay, directing talent and worked with network executives — developing and overseeing all aspects of over 200 productions.”

The bio continues, “Recently, Jack has begun developing new series for cable networks. In 2008, he created a new series with Original Productions on coal mining for Discovery. Building on this success, he put together a new show with Hot Rod Editor in Chief, & , a couple of crazy car guys who enter the wildest races they can find. Together with 44 Blue Productions, they are in the final stages of production on the pilot for truTV.”

Jack married his wife, , in May 1989, and they welcomed child Montana Walworth together, according to IMDb.

While there’s no obituary to confirm that Jack’s death led to the dedication, his family did share an update on his declining health in December 2024 via his Facebook page.

“Hi, this is Montana Walworth & Dorothy Low, Jack’s child and wife. He hasn’t been well, and we wanted to reach out to his friends and see if anyone would like to send us videos talking about special memories or moments you’ve had with Jack, what you love about him and the magic he brings to this world,” the post read. “We’ll edit them together into a piece to show him and hopefully brighten his spirits and to have as a keepsake of the legacy of his magic in this world.”
